私：愛：目

神のすがたに似た者として、自分はこの世に送られてきた。

「目の中に入れても痛くない」

という表現は、我が子のかわいさを表すのによく使われる。まばゆいばかりの光に満ちた神のもとから、自分はこの世で生活を共にするべく運命づけられた人びとのなかに、神からの賜物として送られてきた。世界に何十カ国もあるなかで、自分は日本の国の家庭に九人きょうだいの五番目として生まれた。 これも神の計画のうち、ただの偶然ではなかったようだ。

Ai : Ai : Ai (I : LOVE : EYE)

As a child of God, and in the image of God, I was sent to this world.

“There is no pain even to have one's child in parent’s eye.“

This is an expression used by the parents to show how much they adore their child. From God who is the source of light and life, I was given as a gift to all those who will take a part in my life. It was in God’s plan that I was to be born in a Japanese family as a fifth child of nine children. My parents had a small grocery store. It was not easy to raise nine children for them. I do not remember going to bed feeling hungry, but we did not have much of anything else. I had just enough clothes and a pair of shoes. As soon as we were old enough to help out our parents, we did whatever needed to be done to help them in the store or around the house. We spent a lot of time together as a family to work together. But we never took time to go away for vacation as a family. My parents kept themselves busy just to make a living for the family. I thought that was the way of life. Among my brothers and sisters, we got along well as a whole. We never fought against one another over anything. An impression I have of my family when I was growing up is that we cared about one another as a family, and working together kept us together as a family.
